Grilled Pear and Brie Burger
Sweet cherries and grilled pears pair perfectly with creamy brie cheese in the latest burger recipe from Grillocracy.com.
GRILLED PEAR AND BRIE BURGER
Ingredients
1.5 lbs. ground beef (preferably an 80/20 blend)
Kosher salt and ground black pepper
2 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and cut in to ¼ inch slices
8 oz. brie, rind removed and cut in to ¼ in. slices
Cherry and toasted pecan butter, room temperature (recipe can be found here)*
4 Kaiser rolls, split and toasted
Instructions
Prepare grill for medium-high heat cooking, approximately 400 degrees. Place pear slices on the grill and cook for approximately 2 minutes per side until lightly browned and softened. Remove the pear slices from the grill and set aside as you prepare the burgers. Open bottom vents on the grill fully and leave the lid off to allow it to heat to 450+.
Form ground beef into four 6oz. patties and season both sides of the patties liberally with Kosher salt and ground black pepper. Grill burgers for approximately 5 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 140 degrees for medium, topping each one with 3-4 slices of brie during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Remove the burger patties from the grill. Spread cherry-pecan butter on both sides of the buns and place a burger patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top the patties with the grilled pear slices, add the top bun, and serve immediately.
Enjoy!
