Grilled Jalapeno and Prosciutto Poppers
A great meal starts with great appetizers. To get the party started right, we've got some grilled jalapeno and prosciutto poppers from the team at Outer Spice, creators of low salt and no salt seasoning blends made from the finest quality ingredients and hand sourced from around the world.
Ingredients
½ cup soft goat cheese
½ cup cream cheese, softened
½ cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
½ cup finely chopped seeded tomato
2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
16 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise
2 Tablespoons Outer Spice Spicy
18 strips prosciutto, halved crosswise
Instructions
Preheat grill to medium heat, and lightly oil the grate.
Combine the goat cheese, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, tomato, green onion, jalapeño peppers and Outer Spice in a bowl, stirring well.
Lay a jalapeño pepper onto a work surface, and cut a lengthwise from the side of the pepper and scrape out the seeds and membrane, leaving the hollow pepper. Repeat for the rest of the peppers.
Spoon about 2 teaspoons of the mixture into each pepper half.
Wrap each stuffed pepper with 1 slice of prosciutto, stretching slightly and smushing the end down to secure (or secure end with a toothpick).
Place pepper halves, cheese side up, on the grill rack.
Grill peppers 5-10 minutes or until bottoms of peppers are charred, prosciutto is crisp and mixture is lightly browned.
