Grilled peaches are one of those things that you may not think to make but when you do, you’ll be wondering why you waited so long! Today I’m firing up a simple-to-make dessert featuring peaches that are grilled then topped with a crumble mixture before being placed back on the grill to bake.
Ingredients
1lb. peaches
2 tbsp. butter, room temperature
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. finely chopped hazelnuts
¼ tsp. Kosher salt
¼ tsp. cinnamon
Instructions
Prepare grill for medium-high heat cooking (approximately 400 degrees).
Slice peaches in half and remove pits. Slice off a small portion of the outside of each peach half so they can sit flat, cut side up, on the grill.
Place pit side of peaches on a well oiled grill grate.
Cook for approximately 5 minutes until the peaches are lightly charred.
Remove the peaches from the grill and place on a plate charred side up. Partially close the grill vents to reduce temperature to 350 degrees.
Combine butter, brown sugar, flour, nuts, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl and blend well until it resembles crumbles. Brush honey on the peaches and top with the crumble mixture.
Place the peaches, crumble side up, on the grill. Cover and allow the peaches to bake for approximately 20 minutes until the crumble mixture is lightly browned. Remove and serve immediately.
