Has your charcoal grill seen better days? Or perhaps you're simply looking to add another high quality cooker to your outdoor arsenal? Well we've got you covered!
Grillocracy has teamed up with PK Grills to give away one of these American-made classics to a lucky, randomly selected reader (enter below to win).
For those of you who are unfamiliar with PK Grills, their story began in the 1950s when a man named Hilton Meigs developed a cast aluminum smoker/grill which he called the "Personal Kitchen" (PK). Easy to assemble and transport, the grill quickly became a hit and could be found in backyards and parks across the country through the mid-70s when the company ceased operations. It was so popular, in fact, that I have distinct memories of relatives and neighbors cooking on the distinctive rectangular, metallic grill when I was quite young.
Fast forward to 1998 when Paul James came across one at a yard sale, bought the rights to the company, and began producing the PK grills again using the original aluminum castings. Aside from the obvious nostalgic value of the grill, it's simple design, coupled with the fact that the cast aluminum will never rust, has once again made it a backyard favorite among such folks as esteemed grill reviewer Max Goode of AmazingRibs.com (you can find his extensive grill reviews here).
