Whether its a backyard cookout or a tailgating party, grilled skewers are the perfect one handed food allowing guests to eat at their leisure while also enjoying a refreshing beverage.
Today we're firing up some amazing Asian BBQ Skewers, courtesy of TV personality and author of Jeffrey Saad's Global Kitchen: Recipes Without Borders, Chef Jeffrey Saad on behalf of Bush's Baked Beans!
ASIAN BBQ SKEWERS
Prep Time: 25 minutes (not including marinade time)
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Servings: 6 to 8
Ingredients
2 pounds chicken thigh, boneless, skinless
10 each green beans, halved
20 each brown mushrooms
Marinade
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
Garnish
1 cup cilantro, roughly chopped
2 cans (15 ounce) BUSH’S® Asian BBQ Beans
Instructions
Cut each chicken thigh in half lengthwise. Set aside.
In large bowl, mix cinnamon, honey, soy and red pepper. Stir.
Add chicken, green beans and mushrooms, and coat evenly in marinade. Marinate at least 15 minutes or overnight.
Alternate one piece of chicken, 2 mushrooms and 4 green beans on each skewer (if using wooden skewers, soak skewers in water for at least 1 hour to prevent burning).
Turn grill to high and cook skewers for 4-5 minutes on each side or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 170 degrees F.
Serve with BUSH’S® Asian BBQ Beans and garnish with cilantro.
